Cheers dude. It's not important. They have two in each and held secure by the disc. I have some here once I get my stuff sorted out in my new shed.
defo basil in the last picture... I wonder if the new wing mirrors will move after 50mph ,I had to glue mine..
Added it to my group insurance today and refitted the fridge. A camper isn't a proper camper without a fridge or coolbox IMO Gave her a clean out too. Trying to decide how to do the interior up. I keep thinking the cupboards could be sprayed grey or white?
Took her out today and she got hot, so hot, so quickly she blew a rubber hose connector on the metal piping. I am guessing the cap wasn't doing it's job and the strange thing is, the rad was very cool. Scratching head time.
water pump...? because he has had troubles maybe it is not preforming as good as it should... But I would take out thermastat first ,might be pumping water just round le engine and sometimes opening to pump to rad ,but opening not enough ,especially mot time when it is not going anywhere... only three bolts...
I was just sat outside having a brew and thinking the exact same thing. I keep thinking it drove back from Wales okay though
The story so far. Picked it up in Wales, roughly 100 miles from home. On the test run she got hot, so I loosened the bleed valve on the rad and the cap on the filler tank. She cooled right away. I drove her back home, no issues at all. I did hear the fan cut in when I left her idling in a layby and she got hot. So,fan works. And that means the water was circulating front to back as the rad obviously got warm. When I went out to her the next morning I noticed a small pool of water from the rad, but levels were okay. Drove her around for a few days with no issues. Noticed a small pool of water from engine end a days or so later, not much, and still no issues. I stood her on level ground this week and welded her up etc in readiness for the MOT. I took her out yesterday for a a trip to Halfords about a mile from my house. No issues there. Then we set off to B&Q another half a mile through traffic. She bagan to get hot, by the time we got there she was bubbling up. We took the tank cap off and let her cool while we were in there and then drove the mile or so home. On the way she began to get hot again. I was just a bout to pull over and she popped a rubber connector hose on the engine water pipe. I pulled in about 500 yards from home, let her cool and then took a chance and drove her home the 500 yards. She went fine. There is no creamy oil on the filler and she isn't missing or anything other than pressure that may suggest head gasket, so I can only think pump or air lock. I have in the past had to remove a core plug from a engine to flush out debris to get a engine to cool, but this one has driven over 100 miles on a hot day recently with no issues.
Drive it with the rad cap off so it's not pressurised and tell us if it gets hot (which it won't) you're either suffering from a dodgy water pump, sticking stat, or head gasket. If it doesn't run hot with cap off take stat out completely then run with cap on, and see.
