Up and down day today. Woke up to a speeding fine in the letterbox. grrr

Then broke the bolt on the thermostat housing, When I got the whole housing off there was no thermostat as LEF said before. :(

Then I went to three places to get a replacement 1" bore hose. I actually asked the Halford's assistant if she "Got any ose?" ( Always wanted to say that :D) Then at the third place I got some ose and was served by a old good mate that I hadn't seen for 28 years

Looks like head or head gasket problem. Will know soon enough when the tester that has been kindly donated by a TLB'er to the T25 cause arrives.

In the meantime I need to work out how to remove a steel bolt with no head from a ali casting so as I can put a thermostat in.

On the upside again. Mrs PT found a fabulously cheap sofa bed for the summerhouse in the British heart foundation shop ( £25 ) and cancelled the expensive one. I can afford the police course now.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

  3. To get the headless bolt out you could try welding a nut on. Turn the welder up really high to get proper penetration and get the nut red hot.
Or carefully drill it out with progressively bigger drill bits then an easy out. Don't break the easyout though or you'll be really in the sh1t.

Never used one. How do they work.

  10. Goes over the stud like a spark plug socket dies and then undo, it then tightens against the stud as you undo and it undoes the stud

3 parts finished and the lad decided he didn't have the funds to finish it. We have passed it on to a local lad who I imagine has probably finished it now.

  16. Maybe your head gasket has gone between the combustion chamber and the water jacket and the combustion gasses are pressurising the cooling system

  17. The summer house is charming. Love it. I bought a modest pent roof shed and painted same colour as yours and surrounded it with beach pebbles and sand, my own Brighton Beach. Just keep waiting for the rain to stop and the sun to appear. Bloody awful weather, grey, cold, wet.

ps. have you looked up the club80-90 forum for T25's. Its a good forum but not as good as ours.

I haven't done anything to her this week mate. I have been quite bushed out, but I am going to test the head gasket sometime this week, Simple first test, You just fill the system, pull out all the plugs and replace each one at a time and turn over the engine. Any pressure from that cylinder will show bubbling in the water system if you top it right up. After that if it doesn't show uo I will use the colour kit @paneuropaul kindly sent me. Can only imagine one HG blowing, just need to know which one bfore I start work on it mate
    Thanks

Club 80/90 I have been on there years dude. :)
