I presume Hb1Ac test then. Did this give you a pre diabetic reading? Some good stuff on this website and https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/blood-sugar-level-ranges.html Last year I had some concerns but the test came back towards the top end of normal. If you want to read how one man reversed his diabetes then Tom Watsons Downsizing is a good read. Some free bits here. https://tomwatsonofficial.substack.com
No drugs have been offered as yet, and I am only in the 'at risk' group... although I have been given the option of a monthly meeting with other potential diabetics in the church hall! Sounds quite fun, although I'm not expecting there to be a bowl of sugar on the table with the kettle and teabags!
Yep me too. Used to have 2 sugars in tea or coffee. About 3 - 4 weeks without you'll never go back. It's now sickly sweet even if someone's has stirred it with the same spoon, and you know how long chocolate lasts in my hands so it's not like I don't have a sweet tooth.
I can’t believe your 53 I thought you were younger than that A few small lifestyle changes and you’ll soon be out of the at risk group. Tea without sugar isn’t an option though
Oh, good God, don't go there. It'll be full of people who want to tell you about their operation, plus some earth mother type who wants you to try her gluten-free sago scones. Alternatively, do go and sit there eating a Crunchie
They’ll be checking your ticker soon and putting you on their chosen meds asap. Be careful what you take on board I’m going through the same and have to question everything they tell me as my livelihood ( hgv license) depends on it.
