I'm looking for a drive away awning which won't cost the earth, won't drop to bits, won't take all weekend to put up and will give us some decent space and cover. What do you suggest?
I'm going for the jk retro one. Everyone I've spoken to at shows rave about them ( actual owners of the things) but they are sold out of LHD at the moment. shame as the next batch aren't orange
A bit more on how many its for and what you want it for as in is it just day use or sleeping would help. I like khyam but be warned they are a lot lot bigger in life than on the web.
I want to put the kids bikes in there, provide some cover outside. Somewhere to put stuff if we day trip in the van. Not sleeping, just a day room I guess.
I have this. In fact I just bought my second one as the last one we thrashed and ended up leaving in Germany. Used it solidly for 5 years. This years model has some cool new features. Looked at all the others at the Camping and Caravanning show a few weeks back.
I was surprised that the inflatable ones are actually heavier than the pop ups. All that neoprene. I'm always looking to keep the kg's down when we go on a big journey.
I wanted a jk one but couldn't stretch to the amount so got a cheaper one, but still want a jk one specially as the price has dropped
I moaned at JK coz they were doing the green n grey one n said why dont you do a jaffa one they said they wouldnt be then blow me after i got a different one they went with jaffa, i like them , @Omias has one
We've had an Outdoor Revolution Movelite awning for a few years - the awnings which are square with poles that cross over in the roof seem to be more stable. Just managed to get myself a Khyam Motordome on fleabay as we wanted something that was quick to put up when we go to France in the summer.
