  1. If you know the exact diameter you want, i can cut it to that. The machine is accurate to a few microns and so am I on a good day. :)
Easiest way is. I cut the green bit give you back, then you machine the red bit to suit.

Many thanks Oscar, that sounds fantastico!

I'll work out an accurate dimension and get on the PM. I guess it depends how thin the piece I want can be. It's just a sleeve in the end with nothing to do but chuck oil and it would pay to keep as much of the BMD pulley as possible due to it being weedy ali and the woodruff slot limiting things. Then again it has to be strog enough to press on. Maybe I could send you a couple and have a thin and a thicker one? Then I can try thinnest and if it crumples, turn down some more and fit the thicker one. I hope that's not too cheeky.

I had a crap day when I got locked in the Ind Estate, thought my engine was knackered and several other things I won't go into here, but today has been good. My engine is fine, a free replacement exhaust is on it's way, Oscar's a cat, I can see the end of engine woes and all's good. :D

  16. we had a noise which only happend while sitting in traffic with a hot engine ,drive of and the noise stopped but wouldnt always happen , get out and have a look for it and it would stop or be difficult to trace but deffo in the engine area , we had it for 2 and half years . when we first got the van i was on JK and asked about it on there , the only way i could describe it was it sounded like a ball bearing rolling around a metal bowl , good old zed thought it was a ball bearing rolling around a metal dish , turned out to be the fuel pump
