It was actually great fun, I sprayed it metallic purple and used to drive it around with the whole top removed, must have looked a right prat! I remember scraping the front a few times as the the rear wheels would lift easily if you turned too quickly. I think I sold it for a hundred quid or so, I saw one go through Kings Lyn auctions for 8 grand in the summer and could have cried
I swapped the Avenger for the Firebird with a chap at work, he couldn't afford to run and insure it as he was in his teens, I was very early 20's and it was a bit of a beast, the early 70's bull nose model. As with all cars in those days I sold it for what it was worth (nowt!) and it's now worth a fortune.
