Si just make sure everything is dried out for a while
Otherwise you will be trapping moisture in the filler when is painted
And you’ve seen what that’s done to my van

I'm on the drive mate and I try get my heater on the panels ect 1st but only so much I can do

Si I’ve got a big torpedo type propane heater if it’s any use to you five mins running and you will be in your shorts on the drive lol

 

I think I'm ok for now mate Iv fort about them but no room to move it's only a little tent with the bus inside mate

You're not wrong it was small with the beetle in it!!!

 

It will do for me mate looking for a house with land or garage next year or so mate !! Finish beetle then a split (early) then kids cars

Yeah I understand your doing the best you can with what you have.

You just don’t want to trap any moisture in when it comes to the topcoat
If you could get it indoors where it’s warm and there’s plenty of air circulation for a few days before topcoat it will help a lot.

 

It normally gets baked in the oven for a bit like the beetle did mate

If it can have an hour in a paint oven then that’s fantastic

Just had a couple of hours and the sliding door looks a lot better now if I'm honest a few hours with my home made sanding blocks she will be all good

Got few days of work end of the week to smash this out !!

Had another hour on sliding door it's not that far away now really allso cleaned off and stone chipped the inner bottom of the door !! Would anyone seam seal this fold along the bottom ? All the drain holes are clear now

Got complete day in there tomoz hoping to tie up the loose ends and get both doors back on and pretty much finished!!

Sanded most of front door allso and found a few bubbles of rust and this was the result big hole fix that in the morning bar that nothing to do on this door really be done in a hour or 2 really

Had a full day on her today was bloody froze it snowed ,rained and blew a gale toes and fingers are shot !!
Got the rest of the filler off the pass door (was a bloody mess not think it was that bad ) but a few hours of making a few small panels and a light coat of stone chip on the bottom looks ok , then got the rear out riggers fully seam welded in (all welding on this side is now finished!!
Then spent a few hours sanding and sanding but a light skim over on slider and that's pretty much it this side bar the last once over before paint !! Gaps all look 100%better this time !!!!

Not gonna bother filler it as never seen it's all metal now that's the main thing

Never had a door that shuts


Another full day planned tomoz where I move onto the front of the bus
