Looks good - one of those with one of these: http://www.meteorelectrical.com/gar...untry_id=222&gclid=CJe55_jCqL0CFa3LtAod-FgAAQ
Thanks everyone. Going to go down the single RCBO route. live an netral in, same out Earths through connecetd and a 4mm earth to chassis. Not sure whether to junk the schuko inlet and go C form. Might be better as Im not going abroad any time soon (I dont think)
would be under my mattress under the bedding and possibly under sleeping people and/or Marmite loads of luggage (mind you thats where my jack is but dont need that as often (one would hope!)
I looked into this myself - and I reckon you need to use dual pole MCBs to be 100% compliant. All the ones I could find are two modules wide - so I think you're right, you'd need a 6 way box including the RCD. I went down the 6 way box & DP breakers route. Picture below of the almost complete install - cables still to be secured and some mechanical protection added. 2nd MCB not yet connected, and the temporary earth bond will need to be moved when it is.
this box i linked to comes with single module 2 pole mcbs so only 4 module box http://www.xtremevan.co.uk/index.php?cPath=721_737
Dicky you must have double pole isolation, a single RCBO doesn't achieve that. You require a simple two way garage board. Very cheap and serves the purpose perfectly.
Does that mean all RCBO's are double pole, so I don't need to worry about reversing the polarity at the schuko plug?
