Foam Engine surround

    2 pics showing how bad it looks if you fit an early seal in a late 'cos you don't know the difference....... the corners dont sit right.

    What you have there Ricky is a JK special. There was shortage of proper seals and they had some made which are in fact crap. I got one as well - what a load of rubbish.

  6. yeah i just cant get my hand round the back of the fan to even start pushing it in properly. the rubber one worked well i thought but if its the wrong one is it incapable of doing the right job? just a thought.

    if anyone wants to come fit a new foam seal for me then be my guest lol. I have just about lost it with window seals lately so i dont know if i can stretch my patience to correcting it.

    Makes me feel all sweaty just thinking bout it.

    The knack is to make sure your tinware around the rear is straight and lines up with the body then fitting is much easier.

    I was told to make sure the ends are at the pulley end not the back of the fan as its less likely to get sucked into the fan
