I'd say yes for the extra lights down country roads. If you want to see a bus with fogs fitted watch Back to the future.

  5. Mine's a never, but that's my van. If you like them, fit them.

i had them but took them off when i fitted my front wheel carrier.

  7. blimey i can see where im going

  8. This seems to be a common dilemma.

I was trying to think of a system where i could very easily "click" them on and off the bumper when I feel like or need them.
I was thinking something along the line of the air hose quick release.

the wire would be separately connected via a hidden jack, and the fog-light housing would just click in. Haven't found a way to stop it from rotating in its place though, as all hose releases are round unfortunately. Any idea of a rectangular-shaped quick release system of some sort in any other applications?

failing that, i might just weld and cut a notch in the release that has to match up and prevent it all from rotating. The smaller bit or the release can be attached to the bumper... painted white, would be quite unnoticeable with the lights taken off.

Sorry if i've gone into science fiction now.

I say yes but I've always fitted spot lights to any car I've had if it doesn't have extras.

Ascetically I'd say go for bigger ones. Small spots make it look like the bus had a cold sore.

  11. As in the avatar. mine are also Raydots.

  12. whats with raydots then? are they better than the average?

  13. not really, they have good quality chrome. mine are from the 80's I think but the chrome and the reflectors shine like new.

Has anyone used those ones from JK. The're only 30 quid but is it money down the drain for poor quality??? (ithink i know the answer)

  15. Just out of interest, is the chrome on them any good? I've got JK ones on at the moment, and the chrome quality is ****. (and yes, I did tell Josh. ;) )

  16. don't go there. I had a pair, in fact they are in the garage. They went rusty after 2 months, I am not joking. I bought a second hand pair and they are on the bay. Even the British weather cant kill them.

  17. Let me put it this way - look at this photo:

The green van has JK spotlights on.

    Don't forget Hella or Ring.

Mine are 6" Ring with Hella stickers on them. Though the backs are satin black steel, 5 years in and they have not gone rusty or ended up looking tatty.
