You might have a filter from a >'71 van. I bought one years ago to replace the crappy pancake filter someone had put on my van and it had no connections for the breather pipes, presumably because it originally came off an earlier van without the vapour system. I shoved the pipe up the inlet spout you could braze a connector on easily enough.
I think that maybe the case. I'll shove it up the inlet pipe for now and fit a proper connection when I can. Cheers.
