Well got told today i need to avoid all caffeine as my old ticker is ticking at 120bpm bye bye kenco smooth so long red bull hello kia-ora, i'll be your dog
Had the same scare, if you get the right meds you can still drink double espresso as often as you like
I have been off caffeine for a while now, really is a better way to live, you will learn to be yourself if that makes sense. I now drink decaff tea and coffee, I feel better because I dont crave that pick me up, my body is itself.
i've been caffeine free for years and am the picture of calm, health and wellbeing try lemon in hot water as a morning pick-up
Give up coffee? No way, never, never never!!! If it wasn't for my caffeine & nicotine fix every morning I'd never get the day started
There really is some great decaf out there. If you drink coffee as you like the taste and not just to stay awake - it's worth getting.
Not had full fat coffee for years, I used to drink it like it was going out of fashion, then after a few months of nearly falling asleep at the wheel on the long trip back from work I realised it was the drop from the coffee (normally takes me 1-2 hours to get home) that would make me so tired it was getting dangerous! Then of course I could not sleep at night! Sods law , so been on decaff ever since - I know its probably got ICI's finest in there but at least you still get to drink a nice coffee rather than dishwater! Give them a try. Oh been on RedBull when I used to work nights - evil stuff dont drink it if you ever want your heart to go faster than rust on a Bay..................
I've been on decaf tea for about 3 years and have never looked back. PG seem to be the only decaf tea bags that taste like normal tea though... Now about 50% of the coffee I drink is decaf, I still need the odd pick me up every now and again, but my nerves have settled down - I was a nervous wreck when I was drinking caffeine all day, and my heart was racing like yours. You'll really feel the benefit after few weeks.
