The camp dwindled in the mid 80s but the last women left in 2000.
One of my colleagues lived on the Greenham camp for a few years

They helped negotiate the restrictions on nuclear testing. They may be proliferated by a lot of bearded weirdos as some call them but they have a lot of support and are very influential on the nuclear subject. It isn’t always what the newspaper or tv reports but they do a lot of work behind the scenes!

If they achieved nothing and were no threat to America using the UK as a misfile platform why did MI5 have such a stiffy about infiltrating them so widely?

  14. Maybe MI5 done their job properly and that's why the CND achieved nothing and were no threat . Difficult working undercover especially with a stiffy !

    I know - a pain isn't it.

What sort of loons want disarmament!? Personally I'm glad our government directly intervened in private citizens rights to protest by using whatever illegal and underhand means they can manage - after all - we all live in a democracy and whilst I kind of want them to get healthcare, societies needs and the roads right - I much rather they interfere with the ordinary man's right to a safe existence whilst being sponsored by the armaments business. It's a much better way to exist.

    More of it I say.

  17. I think most of us would want disarmament and all your other wishes as well ! but sadly that is not going to happen .The CND did make an effort and maybe made a small difference even if it was just highlighting the fact we had American nuclear bombs in the UK . Having the nuclear bombs is a good strategy when held by a select few stable democratic countries .Hope you do not suffer a misfire like the Royal Navy this week ! That would be exceptionally embarrassing especially if Grant Shapps is watching .

The nuclear deterrent won’t and isn’t preventing wars.

The next world wars will be fought with biological weapons and will be more devastating to mankind than anything with weapons that go bang.

It’s not an accident that all the tech billionaires are buying island in Hawaii and New Zealand….they aren’t building nuclear bunkers, they are building bunkers capable of withstanding biological weapons. Why is Musk balsing about in space?

Nuclear will one day simply be areas of the planet that slowly decaying weapons poisoning their local areas from thousands of years.

I wish only to thank my management team, my agent, Philomena who edited my book, my friends whose harsh critique kept it real "does love hand gesture in general direction of randoms in the audience" and of course my family - without you I am nothing. Oh and my socials posse.

I'd like to accept the TLB 'Lowest Form of Wit' medal for all the little man/woman/+ people out there. In its absence, people might think of me not as a right knob, and they need to know I am a right knob.
