if i was being really thorough i'd use the strip and clean discs. I did intend to but i only have the ones for drills and my electric drill died but i have hydrate 80 and that's miracle stuff! I hope
more cleaning and prepping this week in the evenings. unfortunately no pics because i've been covered in thinners and quite possibly nodded off at some point - blimey, that stuff is strong! Seems a shame to be getting rid of the old waxoyl but needs doing as i'll be spraying hydrate 80 on followed by paint... ...hopefully on saturday!
i still feel a bit woozy and i didn't drive home until i felt less fuzzy - i think i flew home tonight
ooh, forgot (i blame the thinners head) also a bit of welding on Saturday - just a couple of small holes (hopefully) and the side pans on soon too. Be nice to get at least get the hydrate 80 on - but still some rust fighting and degreasing before then and still more rust removal needed at the engine end. It's taken ages but so many fiddly bits and i'm limited by when i can get to the workshop. slowly but surely, right?
Keep at it! I still have lots to do before my first drive of the year, but have lost my mojo, I hope to rediscover it tomorrow, or perhaps this evening, if today goes better than the rest of this week.
I hope you find it again soon I wasn’t feeling great last night but Mick the welder complimented me on not losing my enthusiasm for continuing to remove all the grub. I think the thinners fumes carried me through last night - not than I’m suggesting it as a way to keep going! Fingers crossed for a better day today for you x
that monkey is an elusive b*tard! every time i move the worklight i find more bits of old underseal or waxoyl!
If you mention epoxy mastic 10 times in your thread I think you get a free sticker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
