They will fit, just need a bit of tweaking. Where you based ?

  2. TBH I think you'll probably need both... I'll check when I'm home tomorrow!!

  3. No they didn't come with a sticker, I am obviously too trusting but at that price I expected some quality control. Its not acceptable in my book for a reputable company to sell something that it is down to the customer to find out if they are OK or not.

Doors on vans are pretty difficult to fit, it's not just trial and error, I have fitted lots of doors and they always fitted after some adjusting, some more than others it's the same with any door wing bonnet on any car.

    Have you got any pictures?
    where don't they fit?
    Have you fitted the seals?
    Have you fitted the latches?
Have any other panels been replaced?
Is the door bare or complete ?

David, it's painted and assembled. I'd like to see pictures as well.
I have to say one of the doors I returned curled in 1/2" too far at the step - was obvious just looking at it and confirmed when fitted. In the end I got a pair of imports that did fit very nicely.

  6. If you've used JK non original style seals this will be half the problem. You need to buy the more expensive but proper fit/better quality OEM quality seals. It seems copy rubber makes up for poor quality by supplying to much rubber in the vane hope it will keep water out

Ahh mr zed, I learned an interesting thing about doors, they are different on different years lates earlies, really earlies etc are all slightly different, earlies have flatter doors at the step for the flatter arch for example . Once you start looking you can see quite a few subtle differences, I am pretty good with door particularly , though I expect most people would curl up in a corner watching me swing like a monkey twist bend etc . I fitted a genuine correct For year door a couple of weeks ago and it was 3-4 inches low on the back edge  worst door I have seen fitting wise, got it there in the end with an assistants help.

Unfixed his in a minute after pulling them off to re-adjust them, I got them perfect the first time but he pulled them off again :/

I have two JK doors fitted by the muppets that did my weld and respray. I think my bus has had a new front clip at some stage and I dont think the door frames are actually standard size.

The way they got the passenger door to fit was when they put a crease on the inside so the door card fixings dont line up as the door is shorter front to back on the inside now and a bit more curved. As well as jacking out the door frame a bit.

OTOH they also got the striker for the engine hatch on the rear valance just enough off centre that it pops open...

The muppets cost a lot of money and in the end I was just glad to get my bus back as I had the feeling somebody was about to send the bailiffs round to them.
