Gosh! You smartened that up quick enough, looks lovely.
I had the same notion of just using my somewhat shameful interior temporarily while I worked on the rest of the van. Into my 3rd year now still using it!

 

Outside is coming along nicely. She'll eventually need some new panels and welding but right now I just want to get used to her and get her mechanically sound. Hopefully we'll be out at her first show this weekend

OK, so ready to tear my hair out with the engine!! Broke down on the way to her first show back at Easter. Found a local mechanic that does aircooled 'cause my previous person is ridiculously busy. Decided that the carb was dead (among other things) so decided to treat myself to a nice new Weber progressive. Mechanic let me know (finally) 3 hours before I left for the next show (last weekend) that the engine wouldn't go back together 'cause the carb doesn't fit and is fouling on the (aftermarket) fan shroud Arrrggghhhh!! If he'd let me know on Wednesday I'm sure I could have scavenged one from somewhere. Ended up having to go in the T5 (again) and Flora STILL hasn't made it to a show. She'd better be ready for Bugs and Buses in July.

Think I've managed to source a fan shroud to swap that *should* fit. Watch this space.
