Have not yet found out what the reason for loss of comp. on cyl. 3. But i had my engine builder make me a new 2056. 96mm p/b , 296 deg. cam. So the last two days me and my brother have taken old engine out,,and my god, there is a lot of tin and and other pieces that needs to move over to the new one. Will change all fuel lines, and put a new clutch kit on. pics from tonight Will try to take some more and a video when we start it up
A bit more done tonight, thought was to use the old 32- 34 carbs but did a short stop at slackers garage and found a set of hpmx 40s. Know that some think they are crap, but we put them on never the less. Starting to get exited ;D
No more plans that get it running again, It's my winther ride But every now and then i go to my friends place to get fireing wood, the bed takes about 25-35 sacks of wood so a bit more grump than original will not hurt. And tbh, i do think they are a bit lazy with the original lump in them.
Sounds like its gonna be a great workhorse!! The 2.0 T4 motor in the westy seems spritely enough (for the time being)
You see, thing is I never had a vw with an original motor in it,,can't find a reason why to start now ;D
I'm not sure what to do engine wise for Gusbus, he will have a remtec 1641 but one of our Co Directors has a 2332(?) in his garage, he "may" be persuaded to sell it!
lol, I'll have to chat with him about the 2332 and see what he would sell it for and what the exact spec is
