Holmsen, I think you should send a tight (skint) Yorkshire man a pair of those twin carbs that you have laying about
keep taking all the stock engines out I will have them.... ;D You see, thing is I never had a vw with an original motor in it,,can't find a reason why to start now Thinking about it, I am the total opposite of you.... ;D nice late late bay one of them is next on my shopping list ....
Freezing my behind off, it's blody -23 up here :shiver: , in for a cup of :supsbrew: engine still sits at the bed of the truck.
Nothing was done yesterday, -26 made us keep inside. Today we got engine in situ, exhaust on, still missing some tins and heater hoses. Will have a go at starting it a bit later
3 2 1 fire in the hole,, ;D Is it to late to vote for best engine builder, I'll give my guy another one if possible I would not be surprised if this crew cab will do a sub 18.
Holy crap !! the trip home from my brothers place last night almost killed me, think clowns must had something to do with it Got half the way, then all of a sudden the exhaust came in through the vents on the dash, filled the cabin in less than a second, i was doing 50mph when it happened on a road in the middle of nowhere in the dark. Managed to pull over with my head out the window to get some vision. wtf have we done wrong ???
Oil leak onto HX's if you have them. Rocker gasket? Often seems good until you run it on the road and heat the oil up. If it was exhaust rather than burning oil you're in big trouble.
Oh dear. There shouldn't be smoke from your exhaust anyway, but it definitely shouldn't get in the cab. Any funny noises?
Sorted studs on the silencer 2 out of 3 on each side had snapped off. new silencer in Stu, called a twin turbo Now on to the next problem, it feels like it's screaming for more fuel, read up on the homage and found out the mains are just 115, that's gotta be way to small, so bought 2 170 mains. hope this will be better
