  1. Think you might need a roofer, tho finding a good one is often challenging, they get away with it, hard to check up on them.

  3. i usually have a look up there when the sweep comes. there's some roofers nearby today and i've asked to borrow their ladder...

  9. hahaha! it was done before the heritage/conservation stuff - soooo many bodges with all of these houses but if i want to change it i have to replace it with a wooden sash within the same opening (with lintels!).

  11. Did you have the plastic window fitted?
    Is it listed or Conservation area?
    You can get grants you know
    i make timber box sash windows very expensive!
     
  12. yup, that's why mine are staying as is for now. a house opposite is having the guttering done today, it was done last year in plastic by the landlord and now being replaced with the appropriate wooden ones.

    my new window fund got swallowed up by the new interior walls, floors and ceiling the house needed :oops:
     
  15. not going to. other than painting woodwork, that's all i've done to the outside - nobody invites the conservation folk in! :D

  16. Yes there cocks a lot of them i had a argument with one that wanted arched head windows including opener and the original ones where straight
