I believe Brighouse should get a mention - I holiday there quite often :chewie:

No, the road north to Scotland but as second best Yorkshire will do, or even Lancashire if you're desperate.

It's all south of the border & therefore not all that important to the Scots :hattip:

  11. Yippee, so glad for all up there. I bet you're looking forward to all the American, Chinese and Japanese tourist.
Least it gives us a break from them down here :)

  12. Anywhere north off Brizzle is bad to me.
I get a nose bleed if I go to far up.

  13. Steady on lad!

  14. I was once having a quiet pint in the Prospect of Whitby in Wapping - just as the barman started to pull the pint about 60 Japanese tourists came in - videoed (on the huge cameras of the day) my pint being pulled - they all grinned at me appreciatively as I took a sip then all piled back out again. It was a tad weird.

  15. Wales is well better than Yorkshire, even Swansea, the Gower, the Mumbles, Brecon just up the road.. What a farce ...

  16. Cheshire is nice. even if the mother in law lives there.

  17. Ruddy ell, that's surprising. Already got plenty of Japanese up here. The footpath signs are in japanese aswell as english around Haworth coz they kept getting lost on the moors looking for Wuthering Hieghts.

  18. I have lived in Yorkshire, Swansea and the Gower and can say with some authority that Yorkshire is better :) I do love the Gower though

  19. Lies, I was brought up in Swansea, was based for 4 years in Leeming, spent many a day on the moors, they don't have Marmite on the fan-dance.. and noone can compete with the talent we get down the beach!! Scarborough.. yuck!!
