My sort of camping...as long as you have enough cheese and cider 'till it burns out...

 

wrong in what way? the heat and flame would be more off the volume of wood in smaller pieces, nore oxygen can get to smaller bits, i'll rephrase then - it won't burn as efficiently as it would in smaler parts.

 

Chuck a sausage on it...
