  1. If that's what you've got then its probably worth it, hey at least you know all wiring will be new and you shouldn't have anymore problems.

New loom won't solve your immediate no spark issue as you have said you put a cable from battery to coil and still no spark.

Is there a spark going from coil to dizzy, I'd look at trying to test your current coil somehow.

  6. Jayk why don't you save your pennies and get Martin to look at it regarding your spark problem.

  7. It has! via a lot of swearing.. haha.

And yeah, i was planning to, but it does still need a new loom soon anyway, i cant deal with this crap setup anymore!

  8. are you absolutely certain you're earths are good....battery to chassis/gearbox to chassis? Clamp a jump lead to bare metal on the gearbox/crankcase wherever it will fit and connect to your battery negative....then try again....if still no live then it's in the +ve supply side cabling....have you replaced the ignition switch at any time?

  9. nah i havent changed the ignition switch at all, will try that though, cheers vanorak :)

  11. I have a faulty ignition switch and have to back the key off eve so slightly to get power to the coil. When you crank the key fully over the dash lights (gen/oil) lights go out, back it off ever so slightly to get power, you may have a similar issue
    :)

  12. y'know what, im pretty sure my dash lights have gone out a couple of times while cranking it over... il see if letting it off a little helps! thanks dude

  13. Take the original coil wire off, connect your batt +ve & crank it. Bet it starts!

  14. nah man, tried that yesterday :( wouldnt go.

If that doesn't work then its got to be coil surely....

  18. well i get power to the coil when i do that, but still no spark, could be the coil, i guess il be buying a new one of those aswell imminently..

  19. put 12v to the coil ,open the dizzy and open the points with you pinky ,do they spark?

  20. There must be something we've all overlooked....try LEF's points check...if it sparks it's either your dizzy cap, or king lead...if it doesn't and your 100% you've got power to the coil, then it's the coil or your condenser...my money's on a bad earth and faulty ig switch....Long time no hear Lost en France btw...hope you're well
