  1. It’s a commercial not a camper van so I guess they think your off on your valuation .

Its probably worth under 10k as its not a camper and its not a double cab.. @Flakey was asking under 10k at Dubfreeze for a single cab today...

An extremely filler and rust splittie was asking £15k. Nice campers around £18k. The shell of an AdventureWagon high top bay was £6750 minus windows on a trailer but with a spare lower front clip to replace a crumpled area.

  3. I know I was there ! And it is a crewcab mike !! And yes I’ve spent the weekend chatting to you .

  7. We can do agreed values in-house at Classicline. I know these vans and generally don't have a problem with agreed values between £20 & £30k - obviously depending on condition/rarity/originality etc!

    I don’t think a crew cab is realistically worth £25-30k, £15k perhaps

  10. Morning , are you up for the challenge anyone! . Find me a RHD Crewcab, never welded, 70% original paint, showing a little patina, ie it’s history, 2.0 type 4, 6 rib box , fully rebuilt suspension all powder coated , running brand new 944 front and rear brake discs and calipers with Porsche cup alloys , vintage speed exhaust , MCJ steering wheel , fully re-trimmed interior. Etc . All mods have been dis-closed to insurance company. You can eat your dinner off the inner arches. .......... for 15k ! It’s a bit of fun ,but probably impossible.

  11. How can anyone accurately value a vehicle that is a modified one off, rather than a stock unmodified vehicle. The modified vehicle would be almost impossible to replace like for like in the event of a total loss claim.

I have an original unmodified stock mgb which has an agreed valuation of 18k. In a total loss situation, it would be possible to go out and replace it with a similar car.

  12. That’s probably why they have asked for an independent valuation ! You can’t just go out and replace it tomorrow, or possibly at all ...........

  14. I’ve always wanted a white one with a blue stripe around it , don’t suppose by any remote , unexpected , miraculous chance it was like that .

  15. Can we ask what you paid in 2016 for it .....as I would say value would be 15% +/- that figure depending on if you reduce price or increase price for the mods ..
A lot of those mods don`t add value albeit an extremely nice crew cab

  16. Car and classic - 9,800 RHD rust free original paint, South African including shipping. 2l. Crew cab. Not welded.

Leaves 5200 for powder coating and brakes plus retrim.

So a little more than 15k, but probably less than 20k would be about right.
