  1. I was thinking about which years have the most remaining Bays, as the ones I see seems to suggest that L reg (72/3) and S reg (77/78) have the most still alive. I thought it might be fun to do a non scientific poll to see what seems to be the most popular year of remaining Late Bay's.

Click the year yours was registered / manufactured.

    Poll includes 72/73 'crossovers' .

  3. Dec 72 depends on what you class as a crossover , high indicators type 4 engine ,servo brakes ,free tax ,petro flap

  4. Mine is a '78 on an S reg. One thing that does always seem apparent to me is the large number of crossovers still in existence :)

I don't think there's a specific type - as we know that 'classification' covers a multitude of different and often unique models but as they are not true blooded 'earlies' I call them 'lates' :)

72/73 are the most likely to be ringers FACT.

Seems by your poll 78 is indeed popular.

  8. Indeed so far, which kind of fits with my observations. Maybe there are more of other years are just hidden away?

  9. And it's well known that only owners of "true blooded earlies" give a monkey's about that sort of thing anyway. :p

  10. And you know all about ringers, don't you Rickywhiteenginebaypooooo? ;)

  13. Not sure that there are that many ringers (although I'll agree there are bound to be some), but I suspect where vans have been on the restore/scrap borderline, that those that are tax exempt would have been more likely to have been restored than scrapped, whereas a non-tax exempt van that is really bad would be more likely to just be binned.
