Winter bus rituals

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by chrisgooner, Nov 10, 2013.

  1. Alright guys as winter approaches bay driving isn't quite as pleasant as the summer months, and if like me you use your bus all year round you'll know how potentially cold and miserable it can get. I did a few years roughing it before I purchased a propex and heated windscreen so now my winters in my bus are ace!

But do any of you have any winter rituals to make winter driving nicer? The only one I have left since adding my mods is stuffing socks in the cold air vents, which I shall be doing tonight prior to leaving for my night shift. :)

just thinking ahead, my screen has a small crack in it and i've read the brazzy screens are a crap fit, that said are these heated ones brazzy origin?

  11. Mine cane from Autoglass the fit is 100% perfect, not keen on the way the wires come out but it fitted well. There are 2 separate heating elements one each side. One side of each wire I connected to earth the other side to a 30 A relay. I have a switch on the dash that turns on the relays I have one relay for each element. :)

  12. Mine has two elements as well but the wires are ribbon like so hardly noticeable

  13. @rickyrooo1 just remembered that although I bought it from coolair, it had a Ricky Evans Motorsport sticker on it. So may be cheaper to try them first.

As for where they were made, the new Danbury's have normal screens in when they hit the UK and Danbury change them for heated screens so I guess they are made in the UK.
