Pretty typical bodge work eh? You wonder why when it's so easy to do it properly.

  3. If they had straightened out the hinge then they could have used the original holes with slightly larger rivets and it would have been job done.
    The mind boggles sometimes :gnome:

Thankfully that’s the only bodge and the rest of it is 100% complete and original.

I think a lot of people's choices are considerate of how and where it will be stored when not in use?
Compared to a T? Westy camper which are pushing ever nearer £100K (not to mention a long waiting list) and the price of caravans they perhaps look cheap!

My friend buys and sells caravans and trailer tents in Holland as a hobby / sideline - his neighbour does the photo shoots with them all styled out with some nice props and they make decent profits with really buying cheap and turning around following week with better marketing / lifestyle photos.
I am pretty impressed with these trailer tents if you need a storage friendly and easy to manage camping arrangement

  9. What type of thinners?
I’d be worried about melting it

  10. Standard thinners...
Was no problem, its tough that vinyl
Try it on peg bag if you have one,

  11. I’ve fitted new bungee cord to the cover
Hopefully there will be no more bids for freedom from the legs or cover.

I liked the space etc in our foldy caravan, you could have 2 double beds, or a bed and a table with two benches, but it was a real PITA to put up and I think we stayed in it on one of the coldest nights of the year and nearly froze! I think we hadn’t realised the walls were so thin

  13. Thankfully this goes up reasonably easy and the cover has a foam insulating layer.
I did look into the folding caravans but this seemed a more practical option and is a big step up from the little tent we use for short trips away.
I just wish this one came with the heater

  15. The dandy heaters are easy to fit,
virtually just cut the hole in the floor..
    Ours had one,
really warm but dont stand on it.. :p

  16. The heater that goes in the bus came from a dandy trailer tent:lol:

It needs a rebuild before it’s used though
