Pages are taking up to 30 seconds to load for me, and have been for a couple of days. It's like it's sitting there not doing anything and then the page suddenly appears. (i.e. it seems the request is slow to be serviced, not the response). Other sites are very responsive as usual (i.e. it's not me)
Sometime slooooooow, sometimes FAST...what is going on? Let's start a conspiracy theory to fill the www with more rubbish and slow it down even more....here goes... The www has reached consciousness and has seen @Zed's post about AI etc and so is targeting TLB to wipe us all out.....
TLB used to (and might still) employ a bit of forum software to frustrate users by slowing the site down... I bet @hailfrank leant on the button and applied it to everyone. He can't be trusted with buttons and switches. Fact.
Fine on my PC now that I'm home - but has ben sloooooow on my phone for days (and still is, so it's not that the signal was getting lost on it's way to Crete last week!) I was going to use it as an excuse to get a newer phone....
