Leisure Battery?

    I have AGM batteries one under the r&r bed & one under the spare wheel it's probably the largest battery you can fit there but it has a low height of 190mm I've never had any problems with the positive lead.
    But you could always glue a bit of rubber above the terminal
    Also AGM's don't need venting so safe under the bed.

  2. Do you charge them off the alternator or from a separate charger, Ian?

  3. I have a very similar one.

    Clamped & strapped down.
    Homemade positive terminal cover.
    Even thinking of seam sealing silicone to underneath the spare wheel tub above the terminal.

    That should do it!

    They are connected to a split charger also to a victron mppt solar with 280w panels.[​IMG][​IMG]

  5. Nice, tho I'd imagine the split charger, if it's running from the alternator won't quite get the AGM batteries fully charged, the solar will, however :)
