Lvh stike again

Well this is what I got from lvh Mr Paul Weeding. My van went in for a new front panel and new cab floor and to have the front wiring changed to blade fuses. Reason being my van is a dark side engine so was sick of carrying different fuses. I have many photos of the work and looks like I'm going to have a long road ahead. Problem I have now is that lvh is no longer and can't get any cash back. So looks as if I am going to out of pocket again.
Sorry if this is a bit mixed up but I'm writing this and it makes me more mad

 

He folded while doing your job for which you paid in advance?

 

Last I saw he had a workshop full of vehicles I wonder if it’s not just grim reaper

Yea he told 10 customers to come and pick there vans, beetles. He is also selling all tools and his fish beetle and sycro I think he is done with the whole thing. His lvh Facebook has been pulled. Yes he folded when my van was there and I had I fight to get it back but now back looks like he just throw it together. I have I right mess to deal with. Had a whole new floor put in the van and nothing lines up they have Evan gone so far as to oval the holes for the pedals and steering

I wonder why you used LVH, you've been on TLB long enough to have read about them?

 

We were told we’re not allowed to mention him on here for fear of legal action against the forum
A large chunk of my resto thread got heavily edited and deleted for this reason

Looking at google reviews he was still building those dodgy type four engines up till two years ago

 

Have you spoken to citizens advice to see where you legally stand?

 

Unless it was a LTD company or LLC I’m pretty sure any claims would go against the owner.

 

I'm not hear to cause problems. I just posting what has happened to me and my van. I have had the van 12 year and it part of the family and me and the wife who's idea it was to buy the van I use the van all year round. It went in for work and I'm not happy with the work. So looks like this post is going to cause problems I am angry people like this should be outed for what they are and also this van was supposed to be mot read and it failed

1 headlights not mot complaint
2 windscreen not fitted correctly
3 new floor put in nothing lines up brake pedal and clutch pedal catching the floor
4 steering is catching the floor and the colum has dropped half inch
5 wiring loom looks like a 5 year old done it
6 I have wires in the bottom of the front panel and I have water in there
I could go on

 

The MGOC run a rating scheme of recommended suppliers.

Maybe we could do one with ratings awarded by forum members?
If someone had string of 0s I don't see how the forum could be sued although it's a very long time since I had to study law as part of a professional qualification.

 

There’s a distinct fire risk with that wiring going through the bodywork with no grommets
I wouldn’t be driving it until you have got some protection around the wiring.

 

I’m not sure to be honest
I just got told I wasn’t to mention him or his shoddy work in here.

It’s not deformation of character or libel if it’s facts backed up with evidence as far as I’m aware
