"Your friend" (who isn't on benefits) will need to be a sponsor to advertise on here mate. I appreciate this is a bit of a fact finding mission at present so this is just a heads up.
It's only £20 a year for access to hundreds of the people your friend (who isn't on benefits) will need access to, to make his venture work.

This is what came with the originals and what he is looking to replicate as it means the bumpers don't need drilling.

Then you are the person who's welding skills my friend pays homage to and hopes to aspire to.
He may want to approach you with a view to supplying them should things take off (member sponsorship permitting).

  6. Made the rubber impact strips as well

    Thought your avatar looked familiar

  8. Genuine question, what is the purpose of overriders?

  9. If you run into the back of another vehicle, they guide your van over the top of it. You can drive right over the top (over ride) without damaging your van. Same if some one shunts you from behind.

    Aesthetics !

GRP ones will not help in any 'impact situation'. Bumpers won't do much either I suppose.

  14. I would definitely be interested, I think 75 for a set would be a great selling point and they should sell at that. Only if they could be made for that?

  15. Id be interested too

    I thought that.
£75 a set? You got no chance.
I think £2k for a Fridolin would be a great selling point; ain't gonna happen though.

I think he'll be closer to the £100-120 mark for a set - knowing how much time and materials these will take to make.

Let me know if he wants some fibreglass matting/resin/gel coat etc as I've got a fair bit mostly unused from an abandoned project of mine - all for cheap to clear.[IMG]

My friend (yes he exists and is most definitely NOT a friend with benefits) is aware of this thread and will hopefully sign up to the forum so as to answer any/all questions and sort out the sponsorship should this venture take off.
