I just spat my coffe out, laugh! If you ever have the misfortune to meet me then you will notice I'm a cross between a very large hippy and a caveman but with well short hair. I'm the one they talk about, All the gear but no idea

Ozziedog,,,,,,,Some things are not safe when I'm about.:)

  2. Website currently states free shipping too, so I'm guessing since there stating worldwide shipping that would include us.

Hey Dicky, I got it , I'll make something to make it work that won't involve the Arkroyal, and if it's great we'll use it loads, if it's a faff or a pain, then it will spend the rest of its life in the garage with the Propex (never fitted) and the Firetec (never fitted) and the wind up gramophone (seemed a good idea at the time) and at least seven different fold up chairs each proposing to be the most comfy in the universe and a type four two litre under the bench and a six rib box under the bench and a three rib box under the bench two or three sets of heat exchangers and and and

    Ozziedog , ,,,,,,,,,,,, it's a good sized garage too :)

YES Mark!!! That's how I got embroiled in this, I was trying to work out the shipping which was free by the way, then I thought that the Paypal would tell me how much with the shipping and the next thing you know, I've bought a red kombi cabin for my bus. Any way, it's very nice and looks just like the pictures. When I fix up the rear platform bit, I'm gonna have a rock an roll bed that's good for people eleven or twelve feet tall, just what I always wanted.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,, anyone else daft enough to buy one ? Oh,, just me then !:)

  6. Crack on and get it used youth. I like the look of it to the extent that i dont actually neeed one but want one anyway! Toyed with the idea of getting an Amescador rear tent which is very similar or even possibly what this is copied fom, a few years ago but they werent cheap. Dont know if anyone still does them but they did a coup,e of years ago.

  7. I've just watched the setup video, and to be honest, I can't see it being very weatherproof

You must have the most fantastic eyesight in the whole universe between you Ems :D
To be honest I think that will be ok if you can make it drip at least an inch or two past your platform thingy that I have yet to get started on. The fabric seems to be the same as you get on top quality kagouls if that's how it's spelt. The thing that I've been looking at keenly is all the flyscreens on the windows for those extra hot nights when you just can't get to sleep because of the stifling heat,, ,,, ,, ,,, wake up wake up you're dreaming again! Oh yeah, we is in the UK and in weather terms that is still spelt without a Y.

Ozziedog,,, ,,,,, let's just see how it goes :)

  9. I was thinking more down the sides. It doesn't look as though there is anything securing to the sides of the van, thus allowing wind/rain to penetrate. (Am I allowed to say penetrate?)

I'm thinking I would be very very very disappointed if we didn't get at least one '''Penetration''' in the conversation.
As mentioned in the blurb, there are a host of small powerful magnets sewn into the seams of that bit-so that's ok. The bit I don't get, is what the straps are meant to do. The one at the top is just a strap, the bit in the middle is just a loop and the bit at the bottom is again just a strap. Over the windows etc there are a multitude of straps but they have a male and a female end so you can ''' insert ''' your male end into your female piece and keep it up. No such niceties on the bodywork straps though.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,It'll all come out in the wash said the actress to the Bishop :)

  11. Just had a quick measure up and the dimensions of the bed base given would mean it would fit between rear hatch and back of rear seat in one piece and not require all the hardware th chap uses. Indeed it would just slide out and into position! So thats easy. Its just off to b&q to het it cut to size?

  12. Is the bed big enough to not have to put the rock and roll bed down?

Yes, just about, but that means climbing over the erect seat to get in the sack, good headboard for pillows I spose. I got a bunk I made fits over the two front seats so one of the little dudes can sleep with his feet under the steering wheel. I got two single bunks that fit over the top of this with their heads in behind the screen and their feet going over the seat backs. I got the largest single stretcher bunk to fit in the pop top and it's a shaped one, the narrow end is halfway across the opening and the wide end is over three quarters across the rear which leaves just enough room for one of the Ozziedog wall units. Then we got a Rusty Lee Rock And Roller, plus we now has a bright red erection hanging off the back.

Ozziedog,,,,, ,it's gonna be like a maze :)

Yes indeedily, I'm thinking piece of ply, perhaps to kick off a little larger than the tailgate opening to maybe the echo the load space so the ply can sit under my existing rear foam when finalised my new foam can sit on the ply separately to ease inning and outing, I don't like the supports they've made though but if we enter and exit through the van and don't plonk my fat backside on it, it may only need to hold up my feet ankles and knees plus one others. Lightweight to kick off I think.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, I'm usually O Solo Meo too :D
