Tell them your not renewing and just go onto a rolling month by month contract.

I did think about a periodic tenancy but it's to much of a risk with a little one in tow.

yeah I agree just an excuse to make a few quid it sounds like ...ask for an itemised bill to see what it includes lol

Completing renewal........................................................£10
Dealing with incoming complaint calls..............................£10
Cleaning up dirty nappies from neighbours garden.........£30
Organise removal of derelict untaxed car........................£35

charges sound fair enough to me

I did think about a periodic tenancy but it's to much of a risk with a little one in tow.

A 6 months assured tenancy is no safety net a landlord only has to give a months notice from the same date the contract stared but that's no guarantee of getting tenant out we've just had the bailiffs to regain a property.
