RTTS the resurrection

Don’t know how you RTTSers are getting on - we headed down the A30 earlier and it was baaaad.

took us 8 hrs from Portsmouth yesterday

 

A lot of traffic around Okehampton due to an accident earlier in the day but once we got through that, the rest of the A30 was clear.

 

All the usual M5 bottlenecks around larger towns, mostly very slow all the way until Okehampton then as said above ^^^ it cleared a lot. Six hours plus from Bristol but including loads of hanging about here there and everywhere. Three hours forty on the way home I think.

So those that went, what did you think of the new revived RTTS?

 

Great time had by all, everything seemed well geared up, lots of cars that I’d not seen before, a chopped down and stripped out beetle with not much more than a shell and wheels and a Harley motor. A woody Alvis that stunned all, some paintwork on machines that must have been dreamt up. The standard was superbo of just about everything. Wandering around the air cooled camping was a wonderful thing and everyone was on point with chatting about their cars and vans and bikes.

It was ace , definitely going next year, we’re for. Near Redruth now

 

Yeah, we enjoyed it. I had my mrs and two kids with me and they enjoyed it too. The only negative I have is the music on the Saturday night was dire. Would have been nicer to have a few bands rather than the electronic dance music stuff.

 

I didn’t get any photos unfortunately. @Ozziedog and @davidoft did you guys get any good photos of the event?

 

I thought the music was bang on for the club scene of the time, was out boogying until the music stopped
