Love our sandwich toaster but it is the type with the flat cooking surface rather than the type that crimp the edges locking in the napalm Pear and cheese is good there’s some great recipes online for all sorts of fillings.
We have a ridge monkey pan similar to the one you've shown and love it. It is a little deep for a sandwich and works better with a roll, bagel or doorstop!
We chucked ours after it spent a few years at the back of a cupboard, some after the plug had already been recycled. It made tasty cheese toasties, but I did avoid tomato slices, as they ended up hotter than the surface of the sun.
