As with many things, I believe the quality of many products has deteriorated significantly over the last 20 years

 

We have bees again. After loosing our bees last year, we have managed to get a swarm today and as you might be able to see, the trick is to deposit (shake out of the box) onto a white sheet and they all run up the ramp into their new home. Well pleased

 

it always amazes me watching them all walk into the box in a orderly manner

 

It's seeing them all do the Conga that amazes me...

Hopefully they are interlocked so only one drawer opens.. or eventually the bottom drawer gets bent as the C of G moves towards you as you open each drawer in turn..

I just got these back from my local paint guy. Subjective I know, but Brazilian bay bumpers are one of the few things they did better than the Germans, they just look so much nicer than German late bay bumpers.

 

Nice but a fraction of the steel quality ...

Sorry to hear that. We lost our hive last winter in similar circumstances. We gave ourselves a year off and are so pleased we have bees again. Hopefully they will be nice and calm. The one good thing about aggressive bees is that they tend to make loads of honey, but you have to pay

Repro maybe, genuine Brazilian VW metal is perfectly good. There's a lot of nonsense talked about Brazilian bus quality, but they leave the factory pretty good all round, not quite German attention to detail, but still very good. The secret is to get one that's not had much heavy use over there, or been worked on by the locals, that's where they get wrecked!
