I prefer stock height. Mine stand higher at the front than back I think but as I’m usually inside it I can’t tell. It may look level to outsiders once I’m in the driving seat anyway. #foundnewexcuseformymiddleagedspread
I lowered mine cos I felt it looked strange with the nose up when empty.....I know now that once I'm in it rides level.....but I can't look at it when I'm sat inside! Bonus is that I can put it in the garage ( had to raise roof 6in) and it fits under most car park height barriers.
Nah keep it stock height. Mine was one of the very few to just drive out of a muddy field leaving the lowered ones stuck up against mud tracks. Thought about fitting a stainless steel front grill?, quite pleased with the result when I did mine. Rear looks fine to me!
Why not be different and give it a raise and some big knobbly tyres; sort of the syncro look but for a type 2?
Agreed, I think its cool too, having said that everything has a consequence, and a price, in this case humming tyres. Let's not gloss over the fact that lowering has it downsides.
^ that looks like it'll whack it's tyres in the body work on the slightest bump. also bigger tyres will mess up your gear ratios (not to mention your fuel economy) does look cool though
@Dashdub One way to get that "lowered look" on the cheap is of course just to use photoshop. Much cheaper than messing around with spanners.. done the first one for you here:
