There was an 'old photo' thread on here a while back but I can't find it now.. Anyway we found these a few days ago & the memories came flooding back 1976, us kids with Mum outside the new house on EA24. Yekepa, Liberia A grand day out. The Nimba range is in the background. Just to the right you can see the start of what remained of Mt Nimba which was a big open cast iron ore mine. & one for @Dicky & @Dazza. Would have been 1979 as I was too young (15) to 'officially' ride it on the road so it had to live round the back Dad was still away so........
Oh the impetuousness of youth... It got mirrors, then got de-chromed, went to 225, then had a hole cut in the panel for the Mikuni, then had the.... ....rear end cut off & legshields trimmed to go racing Happy days, can't take it with you...
Is it still around ? Did it survive being cut down? I sold mine last year ...the first time in 30 years I'd been scooter less and its only now I'm starting to regret it ...promised myself another , I'm 50 in 3 years time and if I haven't got another by then I've promised myself a 1970 GP
Actually it did. It's in a private collection still in it's race paint and trim as far as I last heard. you know it makes no sense, so it's got to be done
