What happened to Joe's bus - we need to know what bits will stop it at Techenders this time !

It's an old barn which is dry and wind free and only about a mile up the road from my house. So no more buggering about on the drive and getting told off by Mrs Suss that I'm in the way and she can't get to the washing line!

    It did.
The chap who was in there previously died and the family just sold everything. I only found out about this recently but was too late to get the lift as it had already been sold!
    Bugger!!

  10. I'd had a bit of a squeak from the front end that i couldn't trace (nothing appears to be rubbing) so thought it may be beam related, so i got myself a grease gun, worked out how to use it then re-greased my beam. A bit of a messy job but end result is worth it as my squeak has disappeared.

Did that sat pm, just before i drove down to chichester with my son and my bro to camp overnight, then Goodwood Revival all day sun. Great weekend.

  11. Did you grease it with the wheels in the air?

  15. honestly i didn't take any :) i've been a few times before so i just relaxed and took it all in

  16. The only method ;). Wheels down, the grease won't penetrate the beam.

  17. Fitted the interior light into my new head lining, ripped out the stupid buzzer that the US vans had as I couldnt stop it buzzing everytime I closed the cab door.

  18. Today, Sunday I am returning from a 700 mile tour of the Corn Walls.
The weather was mixed but apart from a briefest of incidents
when my pipe somehow became momentarily entangled with the spokes of the steering wheel
whilst negotiating a traffic island on the A30, the journey was fine.

Squeezed in some little jobs today.

I extended a couple of wires in the engine bay.

I now have power to the ignition coil and a working oil pressure warning light.

(Just the alternator wires to do now)

I also tried to fit a second hand rear engine tin.
Only partially successful as it revealed I have the wrong breast plate. There is a sizeable gap in the tinware as a result, so this needs changing - please see my 'wanted' post if you can help.

Wrapped it up for tonight's forecast bad weather.
