LLC were legend in the day! I wast FAST (fylde area speed team) lol. All too briefly it has to be said.
The club always had a good turnout but they were the 'serious' scooterists. We also had our own club the Luton Elite. I've got the patches somewhere still. I was chairman, my mate Af was treasurer. We spent ages on the rally patch which was a good source of income. There were about 50 members at the zenith with lads & girls from Hatfield & Welwyn as well. Me & Af pulled up at Morecome '84 with the racers on a trailer. There had been a race meeting round the bay at a place called Ponderosa I think. We thought we were the nuts... Memories
Ponderosa...according to the calendar it was a road race. Lol! Cracking grandstand. It looked quite post-apocalyptic really. Where you finding these pics?
That was brill. Im amazed i didnt see myself on that. Couple of mates scoots on there. Ive got some pics close to hand from that year at morecambe, amd of scoots on that vid. Doesnt seem that long ago in some ways. In others its a million years! Will post some pics in a min. Camping was at the go kart track if i remember!
Enchanted dream was one of our club. Think i was running 7th Heaven then. Lad was called Kel! We called it the wet dream!
This'l make you laugh. This would have been the year earlier at morecambe i reckon. See the lanky knob in the boxing boots...what a knobber!
I have very few photos from my early scootering years , I never took a camera anywhere and neither did any of my mates really..they pop up on Facebook every now and again , plenty from the last 10 years though
Sweet panel cuts. now I understand where the love affair with Dells started. & what I love about these old pics was that the vehicles that were hammered daily are now our cosseted classics. Go figure. Loving the Asics
interestingly I never had good results with dells Mk2 Amals were where it was at! Mikunis were great but struggled getting jets where I was!
Yeh - I seem to be obsessed with spare wheel carriers, got too many on the PK and one on the 50 Special but with no wheel, and I've just had the front spare carrier on my van taken off and filled over.
