  2. Where abouts are you?

  3. The new crewcab will be fast enough when Paul Weeding has finished.

Lucky me, I used to drive a 2 yr old 2L panel van, tmade in the last year of production. Even stuffed with people it went like a rocket, handled like a dream and stopped safely on a sixpence. I try and remember that as I fix peoples rubbish steering. I had mine really good when it was lowered but I've been plagued with stiff ball joints ever since which really screws it up. Even took 200 mile Meyle joints back out to replace with the cheapest ones I could find, but they've not worn in yet. :(

  7. Provided my income can keep up with his expenditure. ;)

  8. Witney ? brill place (imo), I was regular there 89-91 that pub in town next to small supermarket , me and friends enjoyed new year2000 in there ,fond memories!> you are lucky living there, wish I did.

  9. I was about to put up the Rose tinted specs smiley hen I realised you'd moved to Glasgow!

  10. your more than welcome to give mine a run... as soon as its actually runs.. :)

  11. I was thinking exactly the same earlier today. Have got mine going and MOT'd and am now driving it quite a bit, but I've no idea whether it is right or not and so would love to a) try driving someone elses, and b) get someone else who knows more than me to give mine a try.

Would happily let you drive mine if I can have a go in yours - and I'm in Kidlington so not far from you at all.

    Nick.

  12. Technically I "drove" your bus onto the trailer but that doesn't really count!
Have to say most people that I tell are still in awe regarding our bus collection story. :)

  13. Aha! And I've been to your house so I know it's not far away. ;)

  14. Right, we we are in Basingstoke, not too far. Going to the Bracknell meet on Sunday. You can take ours for a spin there.

I used to be at bride norton and spent many an evening in Witney. The barn used to put on good live bands in the early 90s.

  15. oh yeah, i forgot you've driven my bus more recently than i have !! haha

  16. Oh yes, had forgotten you very kindly dropped my dash top strip off!

Drop me a PM if you want to come and have a go. Think you'll find yours is better than mine, but at least it will give you an idea what another one is like.

  17. I've also "driven" it a lot further! (And probably a lot faster) ;)

  18. Might pop over at the weekend if you're about.

  19. I have had over 10 buses and taken well over 20 for the mot ,I can probably get blindfolded and drive any of the buses and tell you which one I am in...

They were all different ,some better than others...

  20. Well!
I went and saw PeaSoup this afternoon and we drove each others buses.
Upshot is we're both ok and so are our buses.
Slight differences in steering, gear changes, brakes etc but generally everything is ok.
I need gear linkage bushes and PeaSoup needs some servo work.
    Happy days all round. :D
