There are a few of us i know enjoy a bit of fishing

I use to go with my nan as a kid during the school holidays using a basic whip and worms from the garden but never carried on.
As a teen and adult most of my hobbies were active Mountain biking and such like but following getting ill i had to give all that up so 3 years ago decided to take up fishing.

A bit of a all rounder started off on a local runs waters for carp but now getting more interested in rivers and other fish had my first pike last year. I am not really into sitting in a bivvy for days playing with my tackle waiting for that one big fish and prefer watching a float. I also get down to the beach when i can to feed the fish.

I'm the opposite, started fishing the Thames, Mole and river Wandle for all species that was until I hooked a carp on Wandsworth common, I lost it at the net but from that day I've fished for specimen carp, my PB is 34.4, ive actually caught 2 34.4s from 2 different waters, last year I started fishing for the cat fish on our club water they go up to 60lb

You must of lived close by, I too fished near the youngs brewery on the mole, caught my first chub there and thousands of minnow, did you ever fish Wandsworth or Tooting Bec common. Hampton court mole was superb, we used to fish close to the station,

  18. I'm mad about fishing. Started of as a 12 year old with a waggler and a pint of maggots fishing for roach and perch in Oxford University Parks (which I intend to go back to next weekend actually). Now I fish just about anywhere (in the camper) where the Chub and Barbel fishing is any good.

  19. I've had a ticket for Bushy Park for a number of years now, I only keep the ticket going as in the summer its good for a few hours after work in the evening for a bit of easy and fun floater fishing for the small carp.
I also have a ticket on the Farnham AS, which is cracking value for money with some good waters to cover different types of fishing, but high on membership numbers so the waters do get busy.
