I’m aware of that but four cans won’t do the cavities on a whole bus Your better off buying a 5 litre can and spraying it in with a pressure pot cavity wax gun.
More scraping off of old underseal today, can’t believe how thorough I was when I did it all those years ago! thankfully still finding more paint than rust... not sure the back end will be the same story. My current tool of choice. Once I’ve got all I can off and got to all the rusty bits I can reach with the angle grinder, I’ll be sandblasting to remove any more loose rust/ old underseal from the nooks and crannies. Soon hopefully...! Then it’ll be sprayed with hydrate 80 followed by epoxy mastic. Still thinking white epoxy with maybe black for the running gear?! Mick had a more fruitful day and I now have new offside sill and rear panel. I had my first mig welding lesson too (yay!) but forgot to take pics (boo) It was all a bit hit and miss as I got used to not making holes, so I didn’t do any on the bus. Am pooped and finally home after aqua planing most of the way and back to the village slowly filling up with water... it’s biblical out there!
Nice work, hopefully it isn't quite as bad as this!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-en...e-three-peaks-challenge-walkers-asked-to-stop
Ooh, and thanks to @Lasty for the welding and spray masks... there may have been a few ‘Luke, I am your father’ moments! *ps pedants, I do know that’s a misquote!
I’m still amazed I keep finding so much original paint. I’m determined to get off all the old underseal so my new bilt hamber stuff will do its job properly. I obviously went bonkers with underseal and must’ve cleaned Nottingham out of it at the time! And I did it all when it was up on axle stands. I was younger then
Haha! Cheeky git! I reckon all the rust I wear home has special youth giving properties. A golden glow and exfoliation in one go!
Ha, I did think that but lately he’s had sooooo many different names - one for each injury he’s inflicted on me!
