    Underneath all painted L20B
New front callipers and brake lines, I'm replacing all the brake pipes.
Rear brakes were totally shot, so I've ordered all new, including t25 self adjusters, thanks to everyone who pointed out that Swedish double cabs came with them from the factory.
The green is starting to grow on me. I assume it's because everyone always paints them black.
46mm socket to remove the hub nut, arriving today so let's see if I can get those off.
Also i noticedthe rear bump stop dish is missingon one side canyou buy them anywhere?[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Looking good Ian!
For the bump stops I cut off the end of my old manky torsion bar covers. They’re a very similar size and are nice thick steel.

Mine have been missing for at least 14 years and I have been meaning to replace them for 14 years. AFAIK new ones are not available but the end off one of those mini sized welding gas bottles would do nicely.

[IMG]locating pins were the only items salvageable from my original brakes.
[IMG]cut off hub nuts.[IMG]locating pins surprised me and came out quite easily with some heat.[IMG][IMG]

    [IMG]from this[IMG]to this[IMG]T25 self adjusting brakes.
JK want £44 each for the spreader bar Brickworks sell them for £27 each.
I've still got the brake system to fill with fluid and bleed as I need to torque up the hub nuts and put in new split pin.[IMG][IMG]

That looks a little more serviceable now!
And I thought the brakes attached to the trailing arms I pulled out of a hedge from NOSVW’s yard looked rough.

It'd been there a good couple of years based on nature starting to reclaim it!

I had no intention of dropping the engine and gearbox at this point as I hadn't tested the gearbox.
Whilst waiting for the automatic adjusting bars to turn up, I decided to change the plugs' oil and filters and sods law no3 plug snapped off I managed to get the plug out but took advice given and removed the head.
One thing about it I knew nothing about type 4 fuel injection engines before, but now I'm getting to know my way around the fi stuff.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
