Look good so far . I also sprayed them with a mould release wax .... I looked at all sorts of modern car cvs hoping one would be close but in the end it seemed too much hassle . I don't think it will be easy to separate the metal part ,,, my back up was the original 46 year old ones I took off
These look worth a punt, I think camper cvs are 100mm, maybe 110mm though https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141769838364
Because they have started to crack in places so are not far of failing Whilst it's all apart to check the condition of the cv joints it makes sense to replace them But only if decent boots are available The old ones may end up going back on yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cheers Paul Ive read that and many other threads on a few forums The general consensus seems to be that they are all Marmite Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I put my old cracked ones back on and have done same before. There are still cracked but still haven't actually split. I have also bought cheapy joint/seal kits and the rubber was fine. I put 4 on the early. These kits were cheaper than VWH were selling just their posh CV rubbers for.
It's looking likely I'll be fitting my old boots back on But I'm still going to have a play around with an old one to see if I can separate the pressed parts and fit a polyurethane boot If I can make that happen then it should be fit and forget for years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've measured up and the cvs are 100mm It doesn't tell you the boot length or shaft diameter in that add though Even if it does fit it would just be a punt though as they might be Marmite despite the 3 year warranty Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They sell a kit with the boot and cv joint for a bus So they may sell just the boots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
J and R do good quality parts, fitted a couple of there driveshafts to non T2's and am going to fit one to my T5, they are very good
I fitted one of their cv joint kits a while back now. All good. Also fitted a brake caliper to my sprinter, again all good. It was flipping cheap to
