Restoring a Devon Round Beaver Badge...

  1. I would be interested also, we have the disc but it is nigh on smooth [no smutty jokes please!] you can just make out the words and the Beaver on the disc.

That's exactly what mine was like

  3. Wow... been away for a bit sorry for the delay in response, that's a good piece of artwork you're put together brucieboy, the disc is 3 inches in diameter.

Just wondering now how to get that design on the badge, which should have a silver background, and I think there's a local company here that would produce these as 3" self adhesive vinyl badges.

Only problem is they would want to make a square metre of these, so thats about 12 x 12 badges = 144 of them.

All I need now is 143 other people that want them, ha!

  4. Il be up for one as long as they don't come with a westfalia price tag [IMG]

  5. I'd like one too!

  6. I think its great, would you be able to turn the disc from clear to grey or silver metal background, seems people want the badge as a vinyl sticker, as I'm thinking of getting these printed off locally, so there would be no need for the centre's for the pop rivets.

    Cheers,

  7. I'd have one, bet you could sell a fair few on ebay for £20
Loads of Devon stickers selling for £7 etc

I'd take one too, please let me know if you plan to get them printed.

  9. If brucieboy is happy for me to use his design to have a number of these printed off as 3" diameter vinyl stickyback badges, I'll start taking names, it'll be at cost plus cost of postage, the more people want one the cheaper the cost per badge, the cheapest will be in batches of 144 sticker badges made.

If we get enough people wanting them to bring the price down to £5 each for a group purchase, then I'll go ahead and get them made.

Once we've all had ours, the price can remain at £5 per sticker badge and any profit can go to a charity that The Late Bay chooses, can't say fairer than that.

If anyone thinks any other badge needs printing off as a vinyl sticker for members, let me know, we can do that, but there has to be enough people wanting the same to make it cheaper than 'Westfalia prices', as someone aptly put.

From memory I think a square metre of printing is around the £60 mark (I'd get a quote), so if 11 other people want a sticker, we're at the £5 a sticker price and would have a stock to raise money for charity.

All depends if brucieboy modifies the background colour to grey/silver metal, and is happy with us doing this with his artwork.

    Put me down for one
The sticker on the steering wheel trim with the tyre pressures on would be a good one to do

  12. You'd have to provide a picture or artwork, I don't have that either.

  13. I Would be interested in one:thumbsup:

  14. Ok we need just 11 people to get to the magical £5 per badge sticker, the minimum order is £45 plus VAT.

We have ten, so just another one and its a goer.

  15. Your missing me are you?

  16. hey guys, sorry just catching up with this thread, if its getting printed on vinyl or similar then being applied to a metal disc then the metal doesn't need adding to the artwork as the material its printed onto should be clear. but I'd defo love one so thanks and happy for the artwork to be used by who ever :D

  17. I would like one please. Who and how do we send the money?

  18. I was going the grey metal background route so that it becomes the circular disc of the original plate, and therefore the original plate doesn't need to be fitted, or have any paint removed if people wish to apply a vinyl sticker over the original plate that has previously been painted over.

I'd need to get a consensus of opinion over who wants what.

I've added you to the list of names on Page 2 of the thread earlylatebay, when they are available it'd be a PayPal Gift Payment.

So who wants a clear background and who wants a grey background to this circular badge sticker?

Grey (possibly with rivets - we can also do a poll on how many of each later)

    Wireless (with rivets)
    womball (with rivets)
    earlylatebay (with rivets)
    The Drama Man
    Scrooge95 (with rivets)
    matty (with rivets)

    Clear

    brucieboy

I'll prolly be able to get a number of clear background one's done on the one printing of ~150 these vinyl stickers, so its really down to personal preference, although I think the grey background keeps it true to the original design, I may even ask the printer to add images of rivets to the design, since brucieboy has already sorted the centre's for where they would have gone.

Anyway, thinking caps on, Grey or Clear, your choice.

  19. What about die cut?

I have just recived replacment graphics for one of my cars and rather than the cooper laurel printed on a transparent disc as previous sticker was, it is die cut vinyl and each letter and leaf of the crest is separate. You peal the back off stick it on then peel the front sheet off leaving it all in place no exra sticker apart from the picture its self, looks painted on, this would look nicer stuck to a disc

  20. It would mean that people would have to have a disc, some may have lost them, or would have to consider whether to remove paint on those discs that have been painted over.

I imagine die cut to be a more expensive print due to the three layers, but if people wanted that I could get a quote, would you be wanting a die cut sticker Buddy Hawks or is this just a helpful suggestion for another option?
