Top photo looks original. Looks like the rest are missing though?
Did you see my previous post? I've got a bulkhead bracket i can send you if you think it'll fit and you want it.

Nothing mate, it's only a small bracket that I no longer need.
Send me your address and I'll stick it in the post once I'm back at work.
All I ask is that if it doesn't fit your early seats you send it back.

Just to add my bus is a 73 so not sure if they still used early runners?

  7. Hi Dean, mines a 73 pretty sure the early bit refers to seat and runner styles in this case and not your bay
I think early seats ran until about 75
Someone will be along soon to correct me if I'm wrong
My bus had seats bolted over the old runners and looked like yours
The teeth are very flat by design and there's a small channel on the inside of them that the base slides into

  8. I'm not 100% on this, but i'm fairly certain there was 3 basic types of seat,'68-'73,'73-'76 and '77-'79 and two types of runners. Any seat from '68-'76 will fit on the '68-'76 runners. For '77 they changed the seats and runners. You've got the correct runners for your seat, it depends whether the PO has left the runner uner the new seat on the wheel housing, it's hidden under the carpet if it's still there. If it is, you should be able to unbolt the porsche seats and slide the vw one into place.

I think Dean has all or part of the inner driver seat runner, which looks like it's the right sort for his seat, but the outer one seems to be missing. I welded arches on his bus 2 years ago and have found this picture.

  11. Dean,

You need to look under the carpet on the drivers side, you need the bits shown in the picture I posted a while back, you have the inner for sure but can't see the outer and if the pic above is your bus then I suspect is was attached to rust metal and cut and plated so MIA.

You need to find the part now and retro fit or live with what you have.

See my pic for bits missing (I have shown both LHD and RHD)

or if you want adjustable seats for both driver and passanger then you can fit LHD drivers runners and RHD drivers runners and source 2 drivers seats (seats same LHD/RHD) as I have 8)

  13. The seats - you must have both runners or the seats won't stay put.

Still in need of a passenger side under seat runner clip thing?
Also I still need some runners for drivers side (RHS)
    Cheers

I didn't remove the runner BTW. :) It must have been removed previously to fit the seat. I'm a good boy - I even re-instated the lip for the cab mat. ;) You can see the rest of the tub had been previously plated with one big flat piece. The old arch had been seam welded to it and it had all gone rather rusty at that point.
