Finished installing solar cells. Used Halfords OFC speaker cable to run a feed fron each panel all the way down to a dodgy combining diode and then into the eBay cheapo regulator. I will be replacing them with something better.

I used some 12 mm pond hose as a flexible conduit from the roof cap .. and worked out a way of running the wire across from the wiring coming through the old vent then across to the Devon fore and aft bar and then sort of looping round to allow the spring extension to take place then down the diagonal bar and through the headlining and back to the overbead locker.
Moved the mains charger/inverter/UPS back to make room for the solar charge controller.

Tidied up some mains wiring and proceeded to totally lose the top off the 13 amp plug going into the inverter.. somewherein all the chaos.

Will look for it tomorrow after sailing but maybe will end up unable to do much after time in the yacht club bar...

Pond hose becomes brittle when exposed to sunlight, I was told that if you get the hose advertised on EBay as smooth internal bore, it's not a problem.

  8. My leaky sump plate stud doesn't leak anymore yehaaaaaa
so filled up oil fully, disabled ignition so it wouldn't fire and turned it over to get some pressure and then fired it up happy again.
checked the thermostat was working, yep all fine and something that never has worked I sorted the valve for the air box and watched it open when it warmed up.
connected the leisure battery all back up so I might even get to camp out in it...just got to load that bottle of malt in I have saved for camping...

Good find, easily exchangeable at at most camping venues or emporiums.
Handle is the key for swapping over.

Trying out the recently purchased JK thermo mats today.
A bit hit and miss with the suction cups and any tips would be most welcome.
Have tried moistening them with some slobber but seem very susceptible to temperature change.
Any suggestions are more than welcome....
