Yikes! Even by normal camper standards that’s pretty bad. Any ideas?

  3. Needs a tune up ? I do always drive it with my foot on the floor so that may not help :)

Well Clem has been spending a prolonged holiday down in Poole, but finally today went to collect him.... and his newly upholstered seats and bed. Yee Haa, the waiting is over, no more the uncomfortable poo brown seats and bed that was at three different levels. Happy Days!

  12. who was it who said you could get 39mpg from one of these buses was it @Dub and Dubber or was it someone else?

Yeah, he's done a nice job - I did think he might stuff 'em out a bit, but looks like just a bit of scrim foam under the vinyl. Apparently my insistence of 'no bloody piping' actually makes the headrests a lot easier and neater to cover. The seats are so much more comfortable now too, new foam on the backs... well anything was gonna be better TBH, but yep, I'm happy.
I got him to quickly take out the old Devon bunks too whilst he was fiddling about - I've got no use for them, and they do take up a bit of space.
….so if anyone wants to buy a set of not too shabby Devon bunks.....

  14. Hard to see how he managed to sew the headrests - my bloke had to resort to velcro. Look nice, tho’, and the colours. Anything’s better than brown velour...

Stick your bunks on fleaBay - got fifty quid for mine...

Not sure how they are sewed, but there's a zip at the bottom (I'm NOT going to be taking them off!)
The colours are really neutral (not at all like me!), but when the bus is 0range... I didn't fancy going down the colour coordinated route!
Just need to get the remains of the curtain material back from the friend who made them for me so that I can get a couple of bolster cushions for either side of the back seat (after 3 years I've given up on the hope that said friend might actually do them )
Getting some money back on the bunks would be good - they look in pretty good nick.

Don't think it was 39!, but 30 something ... can't remember off hand.
Probably wiped it thanks to all the nay-sayers and non-believers :)
@Poptop2 was my only comfort in those hard times :(

Running sweet and just in time for a beer and the second half of the rugby. Go England!

The choke must be stuck on and you are never able to get up to any speed on the IOW, so you cant feel it stumbling amd sputtering..
