Yeah, I played that game for a while but it got ridiculous. I also played the listening game, interjecting total random stuff into the "conversation" like "I bought an elephant today" to see if she had any interest in how my day had gone. I could have a whole conversation like that and she never noticed because she was just waiting for me to finish so she could carry on. As they say, the secret to marriage - every day I sit my wife down and give her a good listening to. I do not miss being married.
Hmmm, I'm not sure that I want to put my experiences down in print, but I know where you are coming from.
Is the new album any good? I liked their first collaboration 'Raising Sand', might have to give this one a listen. Dear Santa.....
They are a covers band mainly - a covers band! I'd sure like to trip over them in the local. Bass player is Leonard, a very talented recorder/mixer/producer/arranger. Ruskies for the win!
I'm really enjoying these. Music is generally so dumbed down these days it's a joy to find proper musicians enjoying themselves... even if they do have to search back many decades to find the times when the standards were higher.
^ Has made me look into Chicago - the Chicago in my head was the later soft smoochy version I never had any interest in... so I dismissed them. My goodness though, to begin with they rocked! Live in 1970 - I don't expect anyone to listen but wow, they were a good live band, so tight! 50 years on, has music actually got anywhere?
He was in a hell of a state last time i saw him ...Peter Perret i think the guys name is ....will have to look up and see if has pulled through or not .
