First ever drawer built - making all of the fronts after I've built all of the 6 drawers!!

Second nearly done but ran out of small timber battens.

  3. How are you finding the spacial layout? Have you had to change any of your design due to free space concerns?

I've looked at those T4s (Topaz?)with an end bathroom, but the living space is tiny, you've got to sleep separately on single beds made up from the travelling seats.

They look strong.. I built one in the garage, between units it 800mm wide.. But the mdf thin base sags with all the sh!te in it...

That looks brilliant, really good use of space and well thought out. The big vans are really great for conversions just like the Merc Sprinter that @Flakey is working on.

We made the kitchen and the bathroom much narrower than first planned do that we didn't create a tunnel. If someone is cooking, the other can easily get past instead of some strange dance. The toilet cubicle just about accommodates me, we haven't bothered with a shower as they use too much water and would need a water heater.
We've got lots of storage space and that's before we've built any overhead lockers.

Did some messing today making the sofa bed wider  Can hopefully get on with drawer fronts and overhead cabinets now

  9. Probably too late now, but I looked at this type of set-up - its a rechargeable pump unit that immerses in a water reservoir. Can be filled with a hot/warm water mix?

I have similar. Runs of leisure battery. Not used it yet.

I've got the one that plugs into a cigarette lighter but I think we'll be going the rechargable route too.

A bit more storage space built.
Kitchen cabinets - just need some catches
The bedroom cabinets need some doors

I've already banged my head on a kitchen one. I had one of the doors propped open and I leant down to pick up a drill and OUCH.

The bedroom ones are at our feet, so safe there.

I was out last night getting more done ready for half term.
Aluminium splashback fitted and edges sealed.

This was how I had left it on Sunday night, trying to get the splashback to sit in the curved wall properly.

    Looks like it worked:

Flip up/down worktop extension added, after cutting and edging it on Sunday.

Four cupboard doors to make this week for the overhead cabinets at the end of the bed and above the sofa.

Find and fit the strip light under the worktop counter and kitchen cupboards - I bought the roll of LED lighting last year and I can't find it

I've got some carpet offcut that I'll use temporarily for the floor as we haven't decided on laminate or lino.

Insulate the sliding and back doors.

Jobs to do after we come back off holiday: make drawer fronts, make some shelves for the sliding and back doors to make use of the inset bits. Buy and fit a window into the nearside back door at the top. Line the bathroom to make it waterproof and fit the sink and tap. Work out how to finish off around the window in the sliding door.
